Role Overview: As an L1 Associate Data Center Technician on the graveyard shift, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity of the data center. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting the infrastructure that powers a global professional network, ensuring uptime and reliability during overnight hours. What You'll Do: - You will monitor data center equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and availability. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections on servers, network devices, and power systems. - You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to senior technicians. - You will assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware and infrastructure components. - You will document all activities, incidents, and maintenance procedures accurately. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center operations and projects. - You will adhere to safety protocols and company policies to maintain a secure working environment. - You will provide timely support during the graveyard shift to minimize downtime and service interruptions. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1 year experience in a data center or IT support role. - Basic understanding of server hardware, networking concepts, and power management. - Ability to work independently during overnight shifts with strong problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills to document and report issues clearly. - Familiarity with data center safety standards and procedures. - High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with large-scale data center environments. - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or similar. - Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure. - Previous experience working graveyard or overnight shifts.
