Role Overview: As an L1 Associate Data Center Technician on the graveyard shift, you will play a critical role in maintaining the operational integrity of the data center. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting the infrastructure that powers the client’s global network, ensuring high availability and performance during overnight hours. What You'll Do: - You will monitor data center systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. - You will perform routine maintenance and inspections of hardware and infrastructure. - You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network issues promptly. - You will assist with the installation and configuration of new equipment. - You will document incidents, maintenance activities, and system changes accurately. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate and resolve complex technical problems. - You will adhere to safety protocols and data center operational procedures. - You will provide support during emergency situations and participate in disaster recovery efforts. What You Bring: - You have 1-2 years of experience in data center operations or a related technical support role. - You possess basic knowledge of networking, server hardware, and data center infrastructure. - You have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts. - You are familiar with monitoring tools and ticketing systems. - You have excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. - You are able to lift and move equipment as required and follow safety guidelines. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a 24/7 data center environment. - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar. - Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure. - Previous experience with disaster recovery and backup procedures.
