Role Overview: As an Associate Data Center Technician - Night, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the infrastructure of a major professional network's data center. This position ensures the reliability and efficiency of data center operations during night shifts, contributing to seamless service delivery. What You'll Do: - You will monitor and maintain data center equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on servers, network devices, and power systems. - You will troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues promptly to minimize downtime. - You will assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware components. - You will document all maintenance activities and incidents accurately. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and upgrades. - You will adhere to safety protocols and data center security policies during all operations. - You will provide timely escalation of critical issues to senior technicians or management. What You Bring: - You have at least 1-2 years of experience in data center operations or a related technical support role. - You possess strong knowledge of server hardware, networking fundamentals, and power management. - You are comfortable working night shifts and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - You demonstrate effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with large-scale data center environments or cloud infrastructure. - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Network+, or similar. - Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Basic scripting or automation skills to streamline routine tasks.
