Role Overview: As an Associate Data Center Technician - Night, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the infrastructure of a major professional network's data center. This position ensures the smooth operation of hardware and network systems during overnight hours, contributing to the reliability and performance of essential services. What You'll Do: - You will monitor and maintain data center equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on servers, network devices, and power systems. - You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and connectivity issues promptly. - You will assist with the installation and configuration of new hardware components. - You will document all maintenance activities and incidents accurately. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center operations. - You will adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all tasks. - You will provide after-hours support to minimize service disruptions. What You Bring: - Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data center or IT hardware support roles. - Basic understanding of server hardware, networking equipment, and power management. - Ability to work independently during night shifts with strong problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills to document and report technical issues clearly. - Physical ability to handle equipment installation and maintenance tasks. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in a large-scale data center environment. - Familiarity with professional networking platforms or related technologies. - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar. - Prior experience with ticketing systems and remote monitoring tools.
