Role Overview: As an Associate Data Center Technician - Night, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting the infrastructure of a major professional network's data center. This position ensures the smooth operation of hardware and network systems during night shifts, contributing to the reliability and efficiency of the data center. What You'll Do: - You will monitor and maintain data center equipment, including servers, network devices, and power systems. - You will perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance. - You will troubleshoot and resolve hardware and connectivity issues promptly. - You will assist with the installation and configuration of new equipment. - You will document all maintenance activities and incidents accurately. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center operations. - You will adhere to safety protocols and company policies during all tasks. - You will provide after-hours support to minimize downtime and service interruptions. What You Bring: - You have at least 1-2 years of experience in data center or IT hardware support. - You possess strong knowledge of server hardware, networking fundamentals, and power management. - You have experience working night shifts or flexible hours. - You demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - You are detail-oriented with the ability to document technical processes clearly. - You hold relevant certifications such as CompTIA Server+ or similar (preferred). Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience with large-scale data center environments. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Basic scripting or automation skills. - Prior experience supporting professional networking platforms or similar industries.
