Job Title: Deputy Director, Woodlands Development and Lending Company Overview: Generation West Virginia is a mission-driven organization dedicated to fostering economic growth and community development across the state. We focus on innovative lending solutions and sustainable development projects that empower local communities and promote long-term prosperity. Role Overview: The Deputy Director at Woodlands Community Lenders, Inc. plays a critical leadership role in managing lending operations and development initiatives. This position supports the Director in overseeing program implementation, stakeholder engagement, and strategic growth to ensure impactful community lending services. What You'll Do: - You will manage day-to-day lending operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. - You will collaborate with community partners to identify development opportunities and support local projects. - You will assist in developing and implementing strategic plans to expand lending programs. - You will oversee loan underwriting, approval processes, and portfolio management. - You will lead a team of lending professionals, providing guidance and professional development. - You will monitor financial performance and prepare reports for senior leadership and stakeholders. - You will represent Woodlands Community Lenders at community events and industry conferences. - You will support grant writing and fundraising efforts to secure additional resources. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in community lending, economic development, or related fields. - Strong knowledge of loan underwriting, credit analysis, and portfolio management. - Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams and projects. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage diverse stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. - Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in rural or underserved communities. - Background in grant writing and fundraising. - Familiarity with state and federal lending regulations. - Advanced degree in finance, business administration, or related field.
