Role Overview: The Deputy Director at Woodlands Community Lenders, Inc. plays a critical role in managing lending operations and development initiatives. This position supports the Director in overseeing loan programs, community engagement, and strategic growth to enhance economic opportunities in the region. What You'll Do: - You will manage daily lending operations ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. - You will collaborate with community partners to identify and develop lending opportunities that support local economic growth. - You will assist in the development and implementation of strategic plans to expand Woodlands Community Lenders’ impact. - You will oversee loan underwriting, approval processes, and portfolio management to maintain financial health. - You will lead outreach efforts to educate potential borrowers about available lending programs. - You will prepare reports and presentations for the Board of Directors and stakeholders. - You will supervise and mentor lending staff to foster professional growth and high performance. - You will travel domestically up to 10% of the time to support community engagement and partnership development. What You Bring: - You have at least 5 years of experience in lending, community development, or financial management. - You possess strong knowledge of loan underwriting, credit analysis, and portfolio management. - You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. - You demonstrate leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and projects effectively. - You are proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite. - You have a commitment to community development and economic empowerment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working in rural economic development or non-profit lending organizations. - Familiarity with West Virginia’s economic landscape and community needs. - Advanced degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field. - Grant writing and fundraising experience.
