This position can be located at either of these locations. At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard - from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale. The Role We are looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager to lead the execution and scale of GM’s enterprise Audio Visual & Broadcast Services programs. In this highly cross-functional and strategic role, you will drive complex Audio Visual & Broadcast Services initiatives from concept through delivery, partnering with technical, business, and executive stakeholders to embed Audio Visual & Broadcast Services into GM's enterprise operations. You will shape the roadmap, governance, and change management practices required to drive responsible, scalable, and high-impact Audio Visual & Broadcast Services transformation across the company. You will partner closely with engineering, facilities, operations, and executive stakeholders to develop the roadmap, governance, and operating model required to scale high‑quality, resilient, and innovative AV services that support GM’s global workforce and brand. What You’ll Do Operationalize Strategy & Drive Execution • Turn Strategy into Action: Partner with AV & Broadcast Services leadership to translate high-level vision into execution-ready program plans with clear milestones, dependencies, and success metrics. • Lead Complex, Global Initiatives: Orchestrate large-scale, multi-quarter programs that impact GM facilities across the enterprise, ensuring cross-team alignment and seamless execution. • Establish Delivery Cadence: Define and manage the operating rhythm for the AV & Broadcast Services organization, ensuring progress toward 2026+ strategic targets and proactively surfacing risks, blockers, and decision points. • Shape Enterprise Infrastructure: Influence investments in platforms, tooling, and infrastructure that enable scalable AV and broadcast capabilities, from design and development through deployment and operations. Vendor & Partner Leadership • Maximize Commercial Value: Lead strategic relationships with key AV and platform partners, ensuring GM captures full value across licensing, support, and long-term roadmap alignment. • Evaluate Emerging Technologies: Oversee structured evaluations and pilots for new tools and platforms, ensuring data-driven decisions based on productivity, quality, experience, and security impact. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) • 10+ years of technical program or project management experience: Demonstrated success leading complex technical programs, preferably spanning Audio Visual, Broadcast, and/or Platform Engineering domains. • BS or MS degree in an Engineering-related discipline, or equivalent experience. • Deep AV & Broadcast Expertise: Strong engineering background with experience influencing architectural decisions, evaluating technical trade-offs, and deploying solutions in automotive or industrial environments. Expertise in platforms such as video streaming, audio/video switching, and collaboration room technologies. • Vendor & Commercial Acumen: Proven experience managing enterprise-scale software and hardware vendor ecosystems, including licensing, identity integration, operational support, and performance management. • Strategic Planning & Delivery: History of defining and executing multi-year platform strategies in complex, regulated environments. Ability to break ambiguous goals into actionable, measurable execution plans. • Executive Influence: Exceptional stakeholder and communication skills with experience operating as a trusted partner to senior leaders, driving alignment across competing priorities, and influencing decisions without direct authority. • Enterprise Program Methodologies: Expert-level proficiency with Agile, hybrid, and scaled delivery models, and with enterprise-scale tools such as Jira and Confluence. What will give you a competitive edge (Preferred Qualifications) • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or MBA with technical focus. • Demonstrated success implementing and managing complex IT or AV infrastructures, improving performance, and integrating modern technologies at scale. • Prior leadership of Audio Visual & Broadcast Services transformation programs within a Fortune 500 or high-growth tech company. GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU WILL NEED GM IMMIGRATION SPONSORSHIP NOW OR IN THE FUTURE. THIS INCLUDES DIRECT COMPANY SPONSORSHIP, ENTRY OF GM AS THE IMMIGRATION EMPLOYER OF RECORD ON A GOVERNMENT FORM, AND ANY WORK AUTHORIZATION REQUIRING A WRITTEN SUBMISSION OR OTHER IMMIGRATION SUPPORT FROM THE COMPANY (e.g., H-1B, OPT, STEM OPT, CPT, TN, J-1, etc.). Company Vehicle: Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate.
