Job Description This job may be eligible for relocation benefits GM DOES NOT PROVIDE IMMIGRATION-RELATED SPONSORSHIP FOR THIS ROLE. The Role: Responsible to plan, execute, deploy and maintain WMS processes and configuration. This coordination requires interfacing with MGO, Electronic pull system, and Production Pull System daily. What You'll Do: Evaluate current material processes compared to BOP and develop action items to resolved gaps Actively participates in detail business requirements gathering and achievement of project milestones WMS Training development and execution lead for End Users Support operational Group Leaders, Team Leaders and Team members in troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Identify, plan and lead operational plant readiness activities to deploy WMS Planning and operational support for all systems (MGO, PPS, EPS, WMS) WMS, EPS and PPS configuration focal point Responsible for monitoring gaps in MGO routings and displacements Responsible for planning, configuration, and validation of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) & Key User Training (KUT) Operational WMS focal point after Go Live – ensures that there are no interruptions to the assembly line or warehouse due to system issues Develop and lead Manual Operation Process (MOP) at the shop floor Responsible for KPI’s, metrics, and data reporting to leadership and central office (including enhancements) aiming at Productivity Opportunities Configuration lead for CI process – EPS/PPS/Sequencing/Kitting/build changes and the ability to adapt on the fly to changes that impact the production floor Technical support for global label compliance process Qualifications (Basic Required): High functional capability with supply chain floor systems like MGO, EPS, PPS, VBIMS, etc. Strong understanding of supply chain and lean material processes; Logistics, Receiving, Internal Material Flow, LMS kitting/sequencing, Scrap, Obsolescence Strong computer skills towards data management (Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel (Advanced), PowerBI, Access, PowerPoint) Ability to travel as needed on a local scale for training purpose if required Ability to manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks in a project, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time, with ability to meet project timelines Relatively high level of analytical ability where problems are complex Knowledge of work measurement and work standards Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals required Establishes a course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project Coordinates input from internal/external customers to better understand customer needs and/or perceptions Open minded and willing to use data to improve productivity; use data to help drive productivity improvements in the plant Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise Actively identifies new areas for learning and takes advantage of learning opportunities Self-propelled to bring productivity opportunities to Leadership Team driven by WMS data. What Gives You a Competitive Edge ( Preferred Qualifications): Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Engineering with 3-5 years of equivalent plant floor experience Prior experience with a warehouse management system is preferred but not necessary (ideally INFOR or Manhattan operating systems) Multi plant and/or functional experience preferred High functional capability with supply chain floor systems – MGO, VBIMS, etc. Experience with GMS SLT implementation and execution Experience managing hourly workforce in manufacturing environment GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
