Basic Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 8+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 6 years of job-related experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense TS/SCI security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Responsibilities for this Position Information Assurance EngineerJoin the team at General Dynamics Mission Systems, where we protect what matters most. What You’ll Experience Build and maintain security artifacts like Risk Management Framework (RMF) security plans, testing plans, and System Impact Analyses to ensure compliance, readiness, and legitimate security of government systems. Conduct security tests and vulnerability scans using both manual and automated methods to identify and address risks. Collaborate with Development and Test teams to integrate and verify security requirements in cutting-edge cloud-native DevSecOps environments. Lead and support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) events, ensuring systems meet critical security standards. Work on-site at customer facility in Boulder Colorado, Buckley Air Force Base or remotely from home (3-5 days/week on site), driving hands-on impact. What You Bring to the Table Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 RMF, STIGs, and the Assessment and Authorization process. Strong understanding of Linux, Windows, and cloud-native technologies (FedRAMP experience is a plus). A proactive security mindset with the ability to identify and challenge system behaviors that deviate from security principles. Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to convey complex security concepts clearly. Active TS/SCI clearance (required).
