Responsibilities for this Position Join our team as a Program Performance Management Specialist in the Center of Excellence for EVM/Standards Compliance (Adv PPM Specilist). In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our defense contracts meet performance, cost, and schedule requirements. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an Earned Value Management System (EVMS) that complies with industry standards and government regulations. Your work will involve creating and managing systems to track project progress, ensuring compliance with EVMS guidelines, and providing accurate and timely performance reports. You will also offer guidance and training to team members, helping them understand and apply EVMS policies and procedures effectively. By identifying and addressing issues, you will contribute to continuous improvement and the overall success of our projects. We are looking for someone with strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and attention to detail, who can communicate effectively and collaborate with various teams. Your experience in defense contracting or project management, combined with a proactive approach and commitment to excellence, will set you apart in this role. As an effective team builder, the Advanced Program Performance Management Specialist provides contract/program cost and/or schedule management and analysis related to established or new development programs for major component or small system, or production or logistics programs. We’ll expect you to work with single or multiple contracts typically valued up to $20M per year, by developing the program cost and/or schedule baseline within the contract parameters in conjunction with the program team and analyzing program performance (historical and predictive), and monitoring the contract/program Estimate at Complete and schedule completion date, and make recommendations to program manager and program leads. What You’ll Experience Design and Maintain Systems: Create and manage a system to track project costs, schedules, and technical progress. Ensure Compliance: Evaluate and ensure projects meet Earned Value Management System (EVMS) standards. Performance Reporting: Collect and analyze data to report on project performance, including cost and schedule metrics. Guidance and Training: Provide training and support to team members on EVMS policies and procedures. Continuous Improvement: Address issues, implement corrective actions, and improve processes to ensure compliance and efficiency. What You Bring to the Table Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of EVMS guidelines, including ANSI/EIA-748 and DFARS requirements. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze performance data and forecast project outcomes. Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for reporting and training. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to ensuring data accuracy and compliance. Team Collaboration: Ability to work with various teams, including program management, contracting officers, and compliance specialists.
