About The Role: Gen3 is seeking a Data Security Architect to provide expert-level leadership in enterprise data protection, classification, tagging, encryption, data-flow analysis, and policy development supporting IRS data and inventory tagging (DIT) expansion. Location: Remote, US Key Responsibilities: Develop data classification models, sensitivity labels, governance structures, and access-control frameworks. Support policy development, IRM updates, data tagging rules, data lineage mapping, and DIT business process re-engineering. Identify, analyze, and mitigate Data-in-Motion, Data-in-Use, and Data-at-Rest risks. Support encryption optimization, exfiltration monitoring, and CIPEC incident reporting integration. Lead development of data flow diagrams, data models, and audit trail improvements. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor of science or engineering in computer science, and/or related fields. 10+ years data security engineering, data governance, or data loss prevention/data inventory and tagging experience. At least one of the following certifications or similar: CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Comp TIA Network+, ITIL, CCNA, CASP+. Mastery of data classification, labeling, risk scoring, Zero Trust Data Pillar, and multi-cloud security. Expertise in regulatory and IRS-specific compliance environments preferred. *Pending Award What's In It for You (full-time Gen3 employees): Competitive compensation.
