Role Overview: As a Senior Systems Engineer at GEM Technologies, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced IT systems for our diverse client base. You will leverage your expertise to ensure seamless technology integration, enhance system performance, and provide strategic guidance to support business objectives. What You'll Do: - You will design, deploy, and manage complex IT infrastructure solutions tailored to client needs. - You will troubleshoot and resolve advanced system issues to maintain optimal performance and uptime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute technology upgrades and migrations. - You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff. - You will develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures. - You will ensure compliance with security policies and industry best practices. - You will participate in client meetings to understand requirements and deliver customized solutions. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related IT role. - Strong expertise in Windows and Linux server environments. - Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. - Experience with cloud platforms including AWS or Azure. - Solid understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and routing. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, VMware Certified Professional, or Cisco CCNA. - Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or PowerShell scripting. - Background in cybersecurity and compliance frameworks. - Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
