Role Overview: As a Senior Systems Engineer at GEM Technologies, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced IT systems for our diverse client base. Your expertise will ensure seamless technology integration and support, driving business success through innovative solutions. What You'll Do: - You will design, deploy, and manage complex IT systems and infrastructure. - You will troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with clients to understand their technology needs and provide tailored solutions. - You will lead system upgrades, migrations, and implementations. - You will document system configurations, processes, and procedures. - You will mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. - You will ensure system security and compliance with industry standards. - You will stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or a related IT role. - Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments. - Proficiency with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. - Solid understanding of networking concepts and security protocols. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco CCNA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect. - Experience with automation tools like Ansible or PowerShell scripting. - Background in managed services or MSP environments. - Familiarity with compliance standards such as HIPAA or GDPR.
