ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a Sr. ServiceNow Developer to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico; however, this position has been approved for work in a primarily remote capacity. Responsibilities Work on LANL’s ICE-CS ServiceNow Platform Team, leveraging extensive understanding of the ServiceNow platform and ITSM modules. Provide support (development, administration, maintenance) to enterprise production systems and associated applications and realms in support of institutional customers. Support the development, configuration, administration, and maintenance of custom configurations for the Weapons Facilities Office, including custom catalog items, Service Portal Development, and custom task development. Work closely with members of the ServiceNow Tools Team, as well as other IT-related groups who use ServiceNow on a regular basis. Monitor, provide recommendations, and implement changes to improve the quality and efficiency of solutions developed. Design, develop, modify, test, debug and evaluate workflow solutions to meet functional requirements outlined for the ServiceNow team. Assist in gathering of business requirements as well as provide recommendations and implementation solutions based on those requirements. Work with process specialists in the design of new forms and workflow, as well as customization of existing forms and workflow to best fit their identified needs. Prepare documentation for developed workflow solutions, training, and user guides. Requirements Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience, with at least 8 years spent working with administration and development of ServiceNow forms and workflows. Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work. Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed. Experience with configuring and administering ServiceNow Modules such as ITSM, Knowledge, CMDB, and HRSD. Strong troubleshooting skills. Strong project management and attention to detail skills. Ability to identify opportunities to design and implement process improvements. Understanding of ITIL framework, workflows, and integration. Understanding of Agile Development framework. Ability to work well with others across multiple teams to gather, anticipate, track, and incorporate new requirements while maintaining configuration management and version control. Familiarity with federal government security requirements, and ability to implement and assess effectiveness of security controls. Experience developing custom integrations to 3rd party software and platforms. Experience implementing service now application modules. Experience developing custom applications in the ServiceNow platform. Strong familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle.
