Role Overview: As an Area Sales Manager for Food Service, you will play a critical role in expanding GGG's market presence across the Mid West region. You will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and promoting our diverse product lines to food service clients. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a passion for the food industry. What You'll Do: - You will develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed regional sales targets. - You will build and maintain strong relationships with food service distributors, operators, and key accounts. - You will identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base within the assigned territory. - You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability and customer satisfaction. - You will provide market feedback and insights to support product development and marketing initiatives. - You will conduct regular sales presentations and product demonstrations to educate clients. - You will manage sales forecasting, reporting, and pipeline management to track progress. - You will represent GGG at industry events and trade shows to enhance brand visibility. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the food service or food distribution industry. - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment. - Strong knowledge of food service operations and product categories such as cheese, meats, and frozen goods. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and manage a remote territory effectively. - Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with multiple food service channels including distributors, operators, and retail. - Existing relationships with Mid West food service clients. - Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality standards. - A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
