Gehr Plastics is seeking a full-time entry level staff accountant who is enthusiastic and highly motivated with a strong work ethic. The position requires robust analytical, organizational, and time management skills. This role will work directly with the Controller to assist in all aspects of the month-end accounting cycle. The ideal candidate will be thirsty for knowledge, willing to learn and help in all areas of the company’s accounting department, from accounts receivable and accounts payable, to financial reporting and year-end audit support. Some of the tasks associated with this position are as follows: · Processing customer invoices and applying payments, , communication with customers including collections efforts. · Processing and coding vendor invoices, as well as making payments through company bank and checkbook. · Revenue and Billing reports, Expense Analyses, and live month-end tracking of key accounts. · Preparation of our monthly financial statements for reporting to Germany. · Fixed Asset accounting and analysis, Monthly Bank Reconciliations, Product Cost Analyses. Qualifications: · Accounting degree or related · Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Adobe ·Strong communication skills, ability to speak to customers and vendors.
