Lead and manage a 14-person team across channel managers, inside sales, and technical engineers, develop operating plans, drive channel performance and excellence, and partner cross-functionally to meet quarterly targets.
Requires 10+ years of commercial leadership experience including channel management and sales leadership, 8+ years people management, strong business acumen, change management experience, CRM proficiency, and excellent communication skills.
Description: • Lead and manage a ~14-person team of channel managers, inside sales, and technical application engineers • Develop full year and quarterly operating plans for channels by product line and hold channels accountable to targets • Define roles & responsibilities, channel performance metrics, and compensation plans for channel partners • Define operating rhythms/cadence with channels and provide predictable quarterly forecasts • Drive channel excellence: weekly/monthly KPI management, pipeline reporting, forecasting, and pacing • Support sales enablement via tools and training for channel partners • Define performance improvement actions for underperforming channels and develop or cultivate new channel partners • Optimize channel processes to improve productivity and enhance communication • Lead ITO inside sales activities, drive growth and orders for house accounts, and define ITO vs OTR responsibilities • Establish KPIs, performance metrics, operating rhythms, policies and governance for enterprise standardization across GA NAM • Partner with GA NAM region, product line, and cross-functional teams to ensure quarterly target achievement • Report to the Commercial Leader, NAM Grid Automation Requirements: • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent experience • Minimum of 10 years commercial leadership experience in channel management, direct sales leadership, and/or commercial excellence/operations • Minimum of 8 years people leadership/management experience • Demonstrated successful experience in a demanding, high-performance work environment • High emotional intelligence; strategic thinker and willing to be hands-on • Transformation and change management experience • Strong business acumen and analytical mindset • Resilient and able to lead through ambiguity • Experience managing effectively in a highly matrixed environment • Excellent verbal and written communication and polished presentation skills • Hands-on people leader with sound people management and decision-making skills • Effective communication, influencing and relationship building skills • Proven background in commercial or sales excellence initiatives for large-scale enterprise • Strong negotiation and contracts experience, including financial analysis, risk and legal principles • Customer-focused and results-oriented • Process and KPI driven • Hands-on experience with CRM systems • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States • Employment conditioned on successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable) Benefits: • Eligible for a 30% performance bonus • Geographic pay differential (110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas) • Remote work • Professional development opportunities • Competitive compensation
