Job Description: • Provide mentorship and professional development for early-career and lead-level engineers on the team • Develop and maintain a deep technical knowledge of the design basis for standard plant mechanical systems of the BWRX-300 technology • Perform detailed gap analysis between standard plant mechanical systems and site-specific requirements • Evaluate impacts of site-specific requirements on both mechanical systems and their system and building interfaces • Develop and propose conceptual design solutions to resolve site application challenges • Support integration across multiple engineering disciplines • Participate in design evolution programs that extend and improve modularization strategies • Contribute to an engineering team that assures proposals and early works packages are compatible with standard product offerings • Establish and maintain strong working relationship with internal engineering teams • Interface with external partners, customers, and applicable country specific regulatory agencies on technical issues • Work with proposal and early works teams to build estimates, schedules, and identify risks • Provide guidance to external partner engineering resources to ensure quality of deliverables • Support commercial and marketing opportunities to develop new business opportunities • Protect the Intellectual Property rights of GEVH • Support GEVH initiatives, corrective action, process improvement and simplification • Ensure adherence to GEVH’s standards for nuclear safety and compliance Requirements: • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field • At least 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical systems engineering • At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear industry or equivalent large scale power generation industry • Eligibility for access to U.S. export-controlled information Benefits: • medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage • access to Health Coach from GE Vernova, a 24/7 nurse-based resource • access to the Employee Assistance Program, providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling and referral services • GE Vernova Retirement Savings Plan, a tax-advantaged 401(k) savings opportunity with company matching contributions • company retirement contributions • access to Fidelity resources and financial planning consultants • tuition assistance • adoption assistance • paid parental leave • disability benefits • life insurance • 12 paid holidays • permissive time off
