Job Description Summary The Lead Engineer will contribute on the Fuel Cycle Analysis team in performance of nuclear fuel bundle and core design and associated technical support for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants operating with GNF fuel. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Perform technical evaluations and provide technical support of nuclear fuel bundle and core design. Effectively communicate and coordinate activities with internal and external project managers, technical personnel, and customers on engineering/technical issues Maintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverables Prepare, document and present technical data to internal and external customers Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards Required Qualifications B.S. Degree in engineering, physics, or closely related science discipline from an accredited college or university Minimum of 4 years of experience in nuclear fuel design and analysis, nuclear safety analysis, or closely related field Desired Characteristics Experience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technology Knowledge of plant operational support Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements Experience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codes Object-oriented programming experience such as Java, C#, C++, Python. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
