Job Description Summary The Lead Communications Manager – Wind Programs & Engagement supports the Wind communications strategy through execution of integrated employee, site, and program communications. As a key member of the Wind Communications Team, this role plays a critical role in turning strategy into action. This role is ideal for a high-potential communicator who can manage complex projects, develop strong content, and build relationships across operations, HR, and leadership teams. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Execute communications plans in support of Wind and Capital Region/ Schenectady (or relevant site) priorities. Develop employee communications content including announcements, intranet stories, presentations, toolkits, and leader talking points. Support site engagement initiatives, events, milestones, and workforce communications. Manage communications workstreams for key programs (culture initiatives, safety campaigns, operational milestones). Partner with HR, Operations, and Functional teams to ensure timely, consistent messaging. Support local storytelling efforts by drafting content for internal and external channels. Track engagement metrics and support continuous improvement of communications effectiveness. Provide backup support on media coordination and issue response as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. 5+ years of experience in communications, employee engagement, or corporate communications. Strong writing and project management skills. This role will report within the Wind Communications leadership structure, with reporting line determined based on organizational needs. This job is located in the U.S., with preference being given to candidates located in Cambridge, MA, Greenville, SC, Atlanta, GA, or Schenectady, NY Desired Characteristics Highly organized, detail-oriented executor. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: ineligible.
