Job Description Summary As the SEM Manager for USCAN, this role will be responsible for leading, coordinating and/or managing the development and execution of search marketing plans, including traditional search engines as well as AEO and GEO, and identifying and executing opportunities to drive growth. Job Description Are you a seasoned paid search marketer who can innovate and drive impact beyond traditional paid search? We are in search of an SEM Manager who can do more than just manage simple campaigns. This role is responsible not just for end-to-end paid search strategy, but also for advancing how we leverage search across AEO and GEO in the US and Canada. This person will be our in-house paid search authority, blending hands-on expertise with strategic vision. They will not only design and optimize paid search campaigns, but work closely with the Campaign Orchestration, SEO lead, and business teams to drive impact through search engine marketing, AEO, and GEO, connect paid search performance with broader efforts, as well as identify additional opportunities, ensuring that every dollar spent maps back to measurable impact. Core Responsibilities • Innovation Mindset: Ability to harness AI advancements in search, specifically AEO and GEO, and analytics to identify opportunities, drive smarter optimizations, improve efficiency, and future-proof SEM strategy in a rapidly evolving landscape. • Data & Revenue-Driven Strategy: Align paid search programs with business needs along the customer journey, ensuring campaigns contribute to growth targets by supporting the customer journey . • Search Ownership: Develop and own the paid search roadmap across Google and Bing, driving measurable growth in leads, opportunity pipeline, and revenue. • Analytics & Reporting: Develop clear reporting of performance and outcomes, and clearly present those outcomes to various stakeholders within and out of marketing. • Optimization Expertise: Lead advanced keyword strategy, bidding, A/B testing, audience targeting, and landing page optimization. • Budget Stewardship: Own and forecast SEM budgets, optimizing for ROI and scalability. • Cross-Functional Partnership: Work with marketing and product teams to integrate SEM into broader customer lifecycle programs. • Trendspotting: Stay ahead of platform changes, AI tools, and industry best practices. Qualifications • Experience: 6–8 years in SEM/Paid Search, with at least 3 years in a strategy capacity. • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. • Innovation: Proven ability to implement new strategies, tools, and frameworks that scale growth. Experience leveraging AI tools across Google, Bing, and analytics platforms to enhance bidding strategies, audience targeting, reporting, and content optimization. • Revenue Mindset: Deep understanding of how paid search drives value across the customer journey • Performance Track Record: Demonstrated success improving CPA, ROAS, conversion quality, and tying SEM to revenue outcomes. • Analytics Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Google Ads, GA4, Looker/Data Studio, Adobe Analytics, or similar. • Strategic Influence: Experience creating and clearly communicating to senior stakeholders how SEM impacts the business or if a change in direction is needed. • Leadership: Comfortable leading strategy, managing budgets, and coordinating across cross-functional teams. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
