The Field Engineer will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of imaging equipment at customer sites. This role includes conducting site surveys, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Candidates must have an Associate's Degree or equivalent experience and three years of field engineering experience with knowledge of X-ray systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential.
Job Description Summary Summary: This position will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of GE and Multivendor imaging equipment within assigned customer sites. The role will interact with customers to ensure patient safety through proper equipment operation. In addition, this role may also provide input on current product performance trends as well as potential new products or upgrades in order to improve the quality of care our customers are able to provide. This role will include the premise to perform additional job functions including but not limited to FMI's, installations, upgrades, PMs and the day to day service events submitted by our partners. Job Description Responsibilities: • Installation/De-Installation: Perform system installations/de-installations at customer sites. • Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys prior to installation to determine if site conditions meet project requirements. • Maintenance and Repair: Perform preventive maintenance on all installed systems; respond to service calls and perform necessary repairs. • Quality Assurance: Ensure high quality of service and compliance with regulations. • Communication: Communicate effectively both verbally and written. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people. • Scheduling: Coordinate schedules and manage time effectively to meet customer needs and deadlines. • Travel Requirements: Field engineer must travel to and from all sites within the assigned territory, with occasional overnight stays. * Overtime to worked based on business needs with no guarantee that overtime is available at all times. * Evening and weekend On-call based on a call in bonus will be a requirement based on business needs. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: • Associates Degree or equivalent experience. • Three years of field engineering experience with demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including level 2 knowledge of Xray systems including but no limited to fixed Rad, Mobile Rad, Mammography and cardiovascular labs. • Experience working independently with minimal supervision. • Excellent communication skills. • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. • Strong interpersonal skills. • Self motivated and results oriented. • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Previous healthcare / medical imaging experience. • Experience working with X-Ray, Vascular, mobile X-Ray and Mammography units. • Knowledgeable of basic anatomy. • Spanish language proficiency preferred.
