Job Description Summary The Sourcing Product Line Manager directs and leads strategy as it relates to specific Product Line needs. The Manager owns and/or partners in the execution of projects with the broader Sourcing organization and leads in the development of enhanced cross functional processes to continually improve all aspects of the sourcing process. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities • Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business/Product Line level. Provide leadership in the development and translation of these strategies into Product Line impact. • Create and own operating rhythms to align the Product Lines and Sourcing organizations with a relentless focus on impact and outcomes. • Develop expertise within function and constantly grow reputation within the organization. • Lead cross functional teams or projects, as applicable, with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. • Present business solutions to leaders in cross functional areas. Communicate complex messages and negotiate internally with others to adopt different viewpoints. Influence peers to take action. • Lead others to find creative solutions to address complex problems that impact product strategy. • Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at decisions. • Optimize deal structures to integrate long-range engine and spares forecasts into Sourcing strategy. • Monitor process, analyze data, and recommend business strategies to minimize total costs that are aligned to Product Line customer needs.
