Job Description Summary Job Description The Executive Sourcing Leader for Edison Works is responsible for end-to-end sourcing strategy and procurement fulfillment across the full Edison Works portfolio. This role leads a high-performing team to ensure resilient supply, best-in-class quality, on-time delivery, and competitive cost, while managing supplier risk, compliance, and continuous improvement. The leader partners closely with Engineering, Programs, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Contracts to enable program execution and lifecycle readiness from concept through sustainment. Key Responsibilities Strategy and Leadership • Define and execute the Edison Works sourcing strategy aligned to business priorities and SQDC outcomes • Lead, develop, and mentor sourcing and procurement fulfillment team; build strong succession and bench • Drive category management, supplier segmentation, and make/buy strategy across the portfolio • Establish operating rhythms, KPIs, and governance for performance visibility and rapid problem-solving Procurement Fulfillment and Execution • Own purchase order execution, material availability, and delivery assurance for development and production programs • Ensure robust MRP/ERP execution, accurate planning parameters, and clear-to-build attainment • Lead expediting/recovery actions for constraints; drive tiered supplier management and escalation • Partner with Operations/Programs to align material readiness to schedules and milestones Supplier Management and Performance • Build and manage strategic supplier relationships; negotiate agreements (LTAs, pricing, terms) • Improve supplier OTD, quality, and capacity through QMS rigor, APQP/PPAP, and corrective action leadership • Drive dual/multi-sourcing, qualification, and supplier development to reduce risk and increase agility • Execute should-cost/clean-sheet and value engineering initiatives to deliver cost productivity Compliance, Risk, and Security • Ensure adherence to regulatory, contractual, and export control requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR) and internal policies • Implement supply risk management for critical parts/technologies; lead mitigation plans for single-source and sole-source items • Maintain data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness; uphold highest standards of integrity and safety Cross-Functional Partnership • Align with Engineering on design-to-cost, manufacturability, and early supplier engagement • Collaborate with Quality on supplier qualification, escape prevention, and nonconformance management • Partner with Finance on budgets, cash, inventory turns, and working capital targets • Support Program Management with material readiness, IMS alignment, and milestone risk reviews Continuous Improvement • Embed lean principles to streamline source-to-pay and procurement fulfillment processes • Standardize work, reduce lead times, and digitize workflows; leverage analytics for predictive insights • Drive inventory optimization (safety stock, parameter health), and reduce premium freight and non-value add Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred • 12+ years of progressive experience in sourcing/procurement, supply chain, or operations; 5+ years leading large teams • Demonstrated success managing complex aerospace/defense supply chains and high-technology commodities • Strong negotiation, contract management, and supplier development experience, including LTAs and cost productivity • Proven track record delivering SQDC results across development and production environments • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and procurement fulfillment processes • Eligibility for access to controlled data and programs; ability to work within export control requirements • Must be US citizen • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Special Access Security Clearance Desired Qualifications • Experience in Edison Works or comparable defense/advanced programs environment • Background in APQP/PPAP, AS9145, and aerospace QMS frameworks • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and government contracting requirements • Expertise in risk management, multi-sourcing/qualification, and strategic cost modeling • Certifications: CPSM, CSCP, PMP, or equivalent Leadership Competencies • Strategic, enterprise-first mindset with strong customer focus • Data-driven decision-making and bias for action • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive presence • Talent builder who sets clear expectations, coaches, and recognizes performance • Uncompromising integrity, with a relentless commitment to safety and quality Key Metrics (SQDC) • On-time delivery to need date and schedule adherence • Supplier quality (PPM, escapes), first-pass yield, and NCR cycle time • Cost productivity, should-cost achievement, and negotiated savings • Lead-time reduction, inventory turns, and premium freight reduction • Supplier OTD/Q, capacity readiness, and risk mitigation outcomes Location and Travel • Primary location: Evendale, OH • Travel: 15-25% to supplier sites and GE locations, as required Reporting • Reports to: GM Edison Works Supply Chain • Direct Reports: Senior leaders across supplier development, procurement and fulfillment with dotted line responsibility of supplier quality and planning This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
