The Lead Business Analyst – Finance within the Information Technology group works directly with the Senior IT Director – Fin & Acctg to provide guidance for the Finance, Accounting and Tax business functions specifically, and other business areas in general. In addition, the Lead Business Analyst – Finance plays a critical role in delivery phases of strategic and transformational application initiatives. The incumbent is responsible for completing service requests that pertain to the Finance and Accounting business areas while ensuring cross functional integration and impacts are considered. The position partners with peers within the IT group and across the Finance, Accounting and Tax business functions to ensure successful completion of technology-related initiatives and activities. Responsibilities Serve as a liaison primarily with Finance, Accounting and Tax business functions, but also Commercial and Operations business functions for finance-related needs, assisting with the implementation of new and streamlining of existing tools, applications, and processes to support their operations. Consider differing approaches, viewpoints, and expectations while working toward attaining goals and objectives on schedule through successful teamwork. Understand business processes and how underlying applications and data support or enable related processes. Assess, analyze, and refine requirements as part of defined projects and initiatives. Craft and recommend solutions with a focus on providing business value. Test and implement solutions. Support and enhance solutions, continually looking for opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Provide daily support for Finance, Accounting and Tax business functions. Support activities include but are not limited to: Responding to inquiries and issues from business users and removing blockers to daily activities. Performing ad-hoc queries and requests for data. Develop new and expand upon existing relevant technologies necessary for supporting and improving tools and applications used by Finance, Accounting and Tax business functions. Partner with Finance, Accounting and Tax business peers to attain goals and KPIs and find new and innovative ways to perform day-to-day processes from a systems and technology perspective. Develop and maintain proper system documentation (e.g. training material, process flows, policies/procedures, job aides, SOX404 supporting material, etc.). Support and improve processes and procedures associated with Sarbanes-Oxley, both to the letter and intent of the legislation. Specifically, understand and follow existing internal controls, identify any necessary additional controls, and work with the Senior IT Director – Fin & Acctg to ensure adequacy (controls are documented, instituted, practiced, and monitored). Qualifications Undergraduate degree required; concentration in Computer Science preferred At least 7+ years’ experience in software development required Must be able to understand and translate business processes into effective SAP software configuration Strong SAP ECC skills required At least 5+ years ECC (SD/FI function modules) experience including configuration and upgrades Hands-on project experience designing, testing and implementing business solutions in ECC Experience with third-party applications that interface directly with ECC including but not limited to Avalara, Evolve, Hyland for Invoices, Tungsten Automation Process Director, and NLINK (Junot Systems) Background in change management/control methodologies Understanding of process/data analysis and design and system/process improvement methodologies needed Understanding of systems development life cycle and associated methodologies needed Must demonstrate strong customer focus, communication skills, a strong sense of urgency, and a win-win approach to meeting business requirements and resolving problems Leasing industry experience preferred Posting Duration This posting will remain open for 5 days. As of the post date, the salary range for this position is: Min USD $109,100.00/Yr. Max USD $155,600.00/Yr. This role may be eligible to participate in the Company’s short-term incentive plan, the details of which will be provided to the applicant upon hire. This range is a reasonable estimate and takes into account several factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, geographic location, skill set, experience, education, training, internal equity, and other business needs.
