Compensation and Benefits: Hourly Rate: $13.50/hour (Flat Rate) Childcare Tuition Discount: This is our primary benefit. Available for full-time (50% discount) and part-time (25% discount) employees who meet hourly requirements. Paid Training: Opportunities to meet annual Virginia training requirements. Non-Negotiable Requirements (Please Read Carefully) Attendance & Reliability: Must adhere strictly to our Zero-Tolerance Attendance Policy (Point System). Unscheduled absences and tardiness are grounds for disciplinary action. Schedule Availability: Must be available to work various 40-hour shifts within our operating hours. Shift examples include 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM and 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. • *Part-time hours are available. Responsibilities • Provide high-quality care tailored to infants, toddlers, and two-year-olds, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times • Develop and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development • Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning • Monitor children’s behavior and utilize effective behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions • Collaborate with families to support each child's individual needs and developmental progress • Follow all health and safety protocols, including administering first aid when necessary • Document children's progress and communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development • Support inclusive practices for children with disabilities or special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention Qualifications • Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred • Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies • Certification in first aid is highly desirable. • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children, families, and team members • Demonstrated caregiving skills including patience, empathy, and adaptability • Relevant background in early childhood education or related fields is preferred • Ability to create a nurturing environment that supports the diverse needs of young learners Join our team as a Dedicated Early Childhood Educator to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while advancing your career in early childhood education.
