Gander & White \New York is a full-service fine arts logistics facility serving the local, domestic, and international private client, museum, gallery, auction house and interior design communities. We are an 89-year-old company with branches in three countries, including 5 in the USA. As founding members of ICEFAT, we are committed to upholding the highest standards in fine art handling, shipping, and logistics. We seek an experienced, positive-thinking, and organized individual to join our team as a Project Manager / Shipping Coordinator. Primary Job Description: The primary responsibilities of the Project Manager role are the following: directly interact with our clients through estimating, booking, managing, and invoicing high-value and complex Interior Design shipments - Domestic and Import / Export shipments. The Project Manager works closely with the Department's manager and will coordinate all movements with our Transport Dept , Packing and warehouse departments, with our regional branches in the USA, our overseas branches in the UK and France, and with our vast network of partner agents both domestic and international. The Project Manager is expected to master all G+W systems, procedures, and policies. . The position is in-office as part of a collaborative team environment. In addition to a full-time salary, benefits include health insurance, 401K retirement plan, and paid holidays/sick days. Salary commensurate with experience . Responsibilities · Client communications including but not limited to estimating, coordinating, and invoicing Storage, Domestic , International Import / Export projects, domestic and local ground transports or installation projects, and any other shipments as necessary · Coordinate bookings of air & ocean shipments, track cargo shipments, advise status to overseas agents as requested, in coordination with our Import / Export department. A basic knowledge of the Import / Export process is needed , we will train the candidate to a more advanced level as needed for the position. · Coordinate logistics of all shipments for specified customers and provide day to day customer service while correcting any discrepancies that may hinder shipments · Review and arrange Warehouse and Packing documents (packing list, bill of ladings, waybills etc..) · Respond to and answer pertinent questions from customers regarding storage and shipping required information, invoices, quotas, and other queries. · Review vendor charges, client invoice packages and file record keeping prior to submitting to supervisor for payment and final review. · Adhere to G+W company practices, systems, and fiscal policies · Issue client communications, estimates, and invoices in a timely manner Gander and White specializes in the domestic and world-wide movement of high-value works of art and collectible items. As part of the company’s continuing growth, our New York operation is seeking a Full-Time Account Administrator to work in our Interior Design Dept (Administration, Coordination and Operations). A previous experience ( minimum of 3 years ) in the moving industry is preferred: residential moving company, storage/logistics, or procurement associate, . This is an office position in our office located in Long Island City, NY The candidate will handle daily communication with our design clients and well as coordination of various shipments. Tasks will include : administration, data input for inventory control, basic FedEx shipments, quoting & executing domestic/international shipments, customer service liaison. We are looking for a self-motivated candidate with strong multitasking and organizational skills, who is able to work independently and within a group. Excellent customer service sense and time management are essential for this position. Full benefits offered for this position.
