Gameplan is an award-winning EdTech company that helps schools prepare students for tech careers in Game Design and Cybersecurity using their interest in gaming. We work directly with K-12 schools, districts, and education programs to increase student engagement and prepare learners for future tech careers. We’re now looking for a Cybersecurity Curriculum Manager to lead the design, development, and evolution of Gameplan’s cybersecurity courses. Someone who combines deep expertise in Cybersecurity with a passion for building engaging, classroom-ready experiences. Your mission is to develop cybersecurity courses that are high-quality, standards-aligned, and prepare students for industry-recognized certifications. Responsibilities This is an individual contributor role with broad ownership over cybersecurity curriculum quality and development. You’ll plan, design and create Cybersecurity courses while ensuring every learning experience meets Gameplan’s standards for excellence. Your day-to-day will include: Plan courses and create scope and sequences for the Cybersecurity pathway, ensuring content is both technically accurate and engaging for learners. Create high-quality course content, including lesson plans, video scripts, and supporting instructional materials. Building engaging learning experiences using hands-on simulations and scenarios (e.g. capture-the-flag). Align courses with CTE frameworks and relevant state standards to ensure classroom applicability. Ensure certification readiness, aligning course content with CompTIA and other relevant certifications. Maintain consistency and quality across all Cybersecurity courses in tone, structure, and overall learning experience. Collaborate closely with the curriculum team, including writers, video editors, and graphic designers, to deliver cohesive and high-quality content. Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement across Gameplan’s curriculum and broader content ecosystem. Skills and Requirements Strong sense of ownership and a clear point of view on curriculum design and educational impact. Extensive experience teaching cybersecurity in U.S. high schools or creating cybersecurity curriculum. Understanding of educational standards and frameworks, such as Common Core, state CTE frameworks, or national career readiness standards. Deep understanding of teachers and students, and how to craft engaging, effective classroom experiences. Passion for continuous improvement, always seeking ways to enhance the curriculum and overall product experience.
