Full Description

Role Overview: The Senior Project Manager leads end-to-end delivery of Galtra’s internal initiatives, manufacturing builds, and client-facing programs. This role integrates design coordination, supply chain execution, and client communication to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. You will manage cross-functional alignment with engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams, owning submittals, production milestones, and installation readiness across multiple simultaneous projects—including multimillion-dollar data center programs. The role carries direct accountability for schedule, quality, risk, and partner performance, requiring strong technical judgment, disciplined documentation, and operational rigor. Success in this role depends on maintaining manufacturability alignment with engineering, overseeing supplier performance, and driving predictable execution through a clean operating baseline. You’ll work within a distributed team using Microsoft 365 tools, Microsoft Lists for milestone tracking, and Power BI dashboards to monitor KPIs. The environment is fast-paced, high-expectation, and ambiguity-heavy—requiring a steady, detail-oriented project leader who can ensure accuracy, responsiveness, and cross-functional cohesion. Essential Functions: Project Planning & Execution Develop integrated project schedules, scopes, budgets, and resource plans; track progress from design through manufacturing, FAT, shipment, and closeout. Lead weekly project meetings, manage action/decision/risk logs, and maintain critical path oversight with proactive risk escalation and mitigation. Monitor budget performance, forecast costs to complete, and identify variance drivers. Design & Engineering Coordination Drive early design integration to ensure engineering outputs align with project requirements and manufacturability. Review and manage submittals, specifications, revisions, design freezes, and cross-functional information flow. Validate vendor capabilities and ensure alignment with engineering expectations. Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Vendor Management Coordinate procurement, vendor readiness, lead times, and fabrication progress in partnership with Supply Chain leadership. Plan and oversee FAT activities, review test data/results, and drive punch list closure. Track logistics and shipments, and hold suppliers accountable for schedule, cost, and quality commitments. Client, OEM & Partner Interface Serve as the primary project contact for clients, OEMs, and fabricators, ensuring seamless communication across all phases. Deliver routine status updates covering schedule, cost, risks, and overall project health. Manage RFIs, change orders, approval cycles, and smooth handoffs between design, manufacturing, and installation teams. Governance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement Maintain project dashboards and trackers in Microsoft Lists/SharePoint; monitor KPIs such as schedule adherence, cost variance, and supplier performance. Support Galtra’s standardized meeting cadence (operations, steering, executive reviews). Capture lessons learned and integrate improvements into SOPs, templates, and project governance processes. Maintain strict configuration control for scope, schedule, cost, quality, and documentation. Documentation, Compliance & Quality Manage document control, drawing version history, and submittal logs. Ensure full and accurate O&M manuals, redlines, and turnover packages are produced and archived. Verify compliance with NDAs, insurance requirements, and contractual deliverables. Ensure all factory and field quality checkpoints are completed before advancing to the next project stage. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7+ years managing complex MEP, modular manufacturing, or data center projects. Experience managing multiple large, concurrent projects with overlapping schedules. Proven experience delivering multimillion-dollar capital projects. Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, cooling processes, and controls integration. Proficiency with Microsoft Project (or similar), Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Lists. Strong communication and presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences. Demonstrated ability to manage fast moving programs with high accountability and limited margin for error. Travel / Relocation Requirements: Travel up to 25% for site visits, manufacturing partner coordination, and client meetings. Travel is defined as physically leaving home on behalf of business activities including but not limited to client sites, meetings with other employees, meetings for business development purposes, running errands on behalf of the business, attending industry conferences, etc. Benefits: We offer a very competitive benefits package; highlights include: Choice of comprehensive medical plans (including two PPO-style plans and a HDHP w/ HSA option) Flex spending accounts (FSA) Dental and vision plans Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits extended to spouse / domestic partner and dependent children up to age 26 401k with company match and self-directed brokerage account option PTO including additional paid time off during the last week of the year Company paid life insurance coverage for employees and their eligible dependents Short and long-term disability, AD&D coverage Professional development opportunities, tuition reimbursement and professional licensing assistance Paid parental leave after one year of employment
