Job Summary: A Senior Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and successful completion of large-scale projects, ensuring they meet client requirements, budgetary constraints, and deadlines. This role involves managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with stakeholders, and mitigating project risks. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for project strategy, decision-making, and leadership, often managing complex, high-priority projects that impact the organization’s overall objectives. Supervisory Responsibilities: • Project manager’s assigned to project. Essential Duties/Responsibilities include some or all of the following: • Lead the planning and execution of projects, developing project charters, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies. • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with client and company objectives. • Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, setting clear expectations and delegating tasks to ensure accountability. • Act as the main point of contact for clients and stakeholders, maintaining clear, transparent communication and managing expectations. • Oversee risk management and implement strategies to identify, mitigate, and resolve project issues effectively. • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget by closely tracking project performance, milestones, and deliverables. • Manage project budgets, perform cost analysis, and make adjustments to keep spending within approved limits. • Facilitate regular status meetings, providing project updates to senior management and addressing any concerns or roadblocks. • Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, conducting audits and reviews as necessary. • Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. • Stay current with industry trends and advancements, leveraging new technologies to improve construction processes. • Travel to any job site as needed. This could include the need to drive a vehicle, fly in a commercial airplane, ride a train, taxi, etc. This position requires the ability to travel nationally or internationally for extended periods of time (weeks, months or years). • Regular attendance at work is an essential duty. • Other tasks as assigned. • Conform to company Quality, Environmental, and Safety policies, any environmental laws, regulations, standards, and other requirements such as permits to operate Required Skills/Abilities: • Extensive experience in project management, with a proven track record managing large-scale, complex projects. • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello). • Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and project demands. • Advanced communication and negotiation skills for effectively managing client relationships and team dynamics. • Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities to proactively address project challenges. • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budget management and financial reporting. • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Education, Experience, and Training: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field; PMP certification or equivalent is highly preferred. • Experience: 5+ years of experience in project engineering or a related role, with a proven track record.
