Overview Our Payroll and HR Technology Consulting team offers a full range of payroll and HRIS technology services including but not limited Outsourced Payroll Administration, Multi-Jurisdictional Payroll Services, Payroll & HRIS Technology Implementations, Payroll & HRIS Technology Vendor Transitions, Payroll Tax Amendments, Payroll Tax Compliance and Registrations, Time and Attendance Implementations and Management, Benefit configuration, enrollments and carrier feeds, W-2 Reconciliations, and Workflow and Process Design. As a result of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our Payroll Consulting Services team. This is an ideal role for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a client-facing role providing a wide variety of payroll support and solutions to meet our clients’ needs as part of a collaborative team. The professional we are seeking will handle payroll administration, state tax registrations, and other payroll related tasks needed for our clients. This role can be hybrid if you live near Norwalk, CT, or remote if you’re not within commuting distance. How you'll make an impact • Identify and recommend process improvements such as training, customization, automation, and enhancements to maximize the value and efficiency of our client’s payroll/HRIS platform • Build and maintain client relationships in a customer-centric environment • Successfully manage several projects and/or clients simultaneously in a highly organized manner • Create and document standard payroll processing procedures. • Work in a virtual team environment or autonomously completing tasks accurately and efficiently • Provide payroll compliance assistance and guidance, as well as communicate best practices • Prioritizes meeting client deliverables and deadlines About You • Experience with any major payroll/HRIS platform (e.g. ADP, Ceridian, Paychex, Paycom, Paycor, Paylocity, Rippling, UKG, or Workday.) • Experience with other payroll/HRIS platforms is a plus. • End to end payroll processing. • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a payroll specialist or payroll administrator type role. • Proficiency in Excel, including creating formulas, Pivot Tables, and the use of VLOOKUP. • Attention to detail, comfort with numbers, problem-solving ability, and the ability to operate in a highly confidential setting. • Experience with payroll taxes and quarterly/annual reconciliations with the ability to troubleshoot issues resulting in root cause identification. Base: $34.56 - $49.64 hourly. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
