How You'll Make An Impact This role can be based in: Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Utah, or Arizona What You Can Expect • Pharmacy Practice team members are relied upon to review and interpret marketing results, explain and present utilization and cost trends to clients and/or prospects and to complete projects critical to clients’ decision-making with respect to Pharmacy Benefits management. • This position provides support to Senior Pharmacy Consultants and Producers on activities related to sales and presentation of deliverables of employee pharmacy benefit plans for clients and prospects. This may include, but will not be limited to, meeting with clients to review pharmacy results, reviewing and interpreting marketing results, and presenting utilization and cost trend analysis to clients and/or prospects. These activities may be done independently or in partnership with other more senior Pharmacy Benefits Consultants. Objectives for Success • Become immersed in the Great Lakes Region Consulting team’s ongoing projects to identify immediate opportunities to provide support. • Use existing strong understanding of employee benefits regulations, vendor products and capabilities to solve client issues in a timely manner. • Attend internal training sessions as well as industry related sessions to enhance knowledge and to develop professionally. • Prioritize responsiveness to Clients, Senior Pharmacy Consultants and Health and Welfare Producers. • Proactively communicate with Team Members, Clients, Carriers and Vendors Responsibilities: • Support regional pharmacy benefits consultants and producers in client facing activities and revenue generating opportunities • Maintain technical understanding of pharmacy benefit products and concepts • Have a strong understanding of current pharmacy benefit trends, conditions and concepts. • Be capable of reviewing and interpreting marketing results, explaining utilization and cost trends to existing or prospective clients. • Perform initial review of policies, contracts and other documents as required • Establish and maintain proactive communication with clients/carriers and vendors • Keep a current awareness of vendors’ products and capabilities • Keep Senior Pharmacy Consultant informed on matters of importance via written and verbal correspondence • Advise on and contribute to creation of content for employee communication material to be used by client regarding employee benefit design and cost • Respond to all client and/or employee questions regarding pharmacy benefits and facilitate resolution of complex issues in a timely manner as needed • Stay abreast of all client pharmacy activity, including renewals, market checks, procurement activity and audit opportunities. • Create and manage preparation of spreadsheets, proposals, presentation materials and deliverables for current and prospective clients • Interface with team members and servicing team on issues relating to the client • Maintain client files with documentation as required by internal compliance standards • Be capable of setting and communicating clear and realistic expectations to team members and clients in order to avoid perception of service delivery failure • Participate in peer review of all client facing documents as required by internal company policy • Participate in special projects as assigned; perform other duties as assigned by management • Keep team informed of activity surrounding renewals and deadline status regarding Pharmacy RFP creation and distribution.
