Lead a technical team, design scalable architecture, contribute hands-on coding, and collaborate cross-functionally to build AI/ML products.
8+ years building AI/ML or data products, experience with distributed systems, Python, cloud platforms, team leadership, and strong communication.
Role Description This role will lead a Team (or a Pod) and be responsible for the following: • Technical Design and Architecture - you will champion for the right scalable, reliable architecture and obtain buy-in from all the stakeholders • Sprint Planning and Execution - you will work closely with PMs, Designers, other TLs to plan and execute a highly agile process • Hands on coding - you will continue to operate at the lowest level of details and contribute at least 30% of your time coding. • PR and Design Reviews - you will uphold the engineering excellence/quality bar • Collaboration - you will collaborate closely with Product Managers, designers and other TLs to ensure we are building the right strategy and leveraging each other’s work. Minimum Qualifications • 8+ years of experience building Data or AI/ML products or platforms • Experience building large scale distributed systems • Experience building APIs/Services in Python • Experience building applications on Cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure • Some recent experience in AI based applications is preferable • Engaged in all steps of the product development process, working cross-functionally with a product manager, designer, user researcher, and data scientist • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional partners • Some experience managing/leading teams of 5+ engineers (focusing on the technical planning and execution) • High productivity and care to help teams collaborate more effectively and efficiently • A startup mindset, biasing towards thoughtful action with minimal direction.
