Full Description

We’re looking for an Assistant Construction Manager to join our Transmission & Distribution team in Houston. In this role, you’ll partner with Project Managers, Construction Managers, and site leadership to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient execution of complex projects across industries such as aviation, energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, water, and power generation. You’ll be hands-on in supporting all phases of construction management, including safety oversight, scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, procurement, and client engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to grow their career in large-scale EPC (Engineer, Procure, Construct) and construction management projects. Key Responsibilities • Support daily project execution, including safety, quality, budget, and schedule management. • Collaborate with project teams to build strong client relationships and support proposals, estimates, and risk reviews. • Assist in contract negotiation, subcontractor selection, procurement, and project documentation. • Contribute to field operations, including mobilization/demobilization, permitting, material management, and compliance with safety and quality standards. • Track project progress, prepare reports, and support invoicing, cost reporting, and change management. • Partner with site leadership to ensure subcontractor performance and effective project closeout. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). • 3+ years of relevant construction/project experience. • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office; experience with scheduling, cost control, and project management software is a plus. • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Prior experience on construction project sites across industries such as T&D, energy, aviation, or oil & gas preferred.
