G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join its team in Katy, TX. Responsibilities: • Compiling and planning budgets, cost estimates and other financial estimates; and coordinating, planning, and managing schedules for contractors and subcontractors • Conducting site checks to monitor progress and quality standards; and developing construction project with architect, engineers, and trade workers • Collaborating with engineers, architects, etc. to determine the specifications of the project; and negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements • Allocating and managing resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects • Ordering and managing materials and equipment, and providing internal reporting and projections for inventory • Performing the tasks of a cost estimator, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget • Overseeing construction projects from beginning to end, and managing the budget and estimate costs; managing customer expectations / changes • Supervising construction project progress and providing reports on timeline, progress, and changes • Submitting customer invoice requests in timely manner • Ensuring all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines (permits), and local and state regulations are met. Qualifications: • Seven to ten years’ experience as a residential construction project manager, both new construction and extensive remodels • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Great customer service, proven leadership skills, and ability to delegate work • Exceptional time management skills, ability to estimate work effort and time needed for different construction jobs • Good writing skills for proposals and reports • Excellent technical skills and understanding of construction methods, contracts and blueprints • Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets • Ability to manage multiple projects • Ability to analyze problems and develop strategies for better solutions • In-depth understanding of the construction industry, as well as self-motivated and self-directed • Computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office & Adobe Acrobat Pro; Microsoft Project, Xactimate and experience with Project Management software a plus • Ability to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers Equal Opportunity Employer Statement G&A Partners as an Equal Opportunity Employer considers all applicants and prohibits discrimination of any type on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws and ordinances.
