7-10+ years of digital fundraising or marketing experience with expertise in multi-channel digital strategy, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple client projects.
We’re seeking a Senior Digital Strategist who will serve as a lead architect of our clients’ digital fundraising programs. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply fluent across digital channels—email, paid media, social, search, SMS, and web—and knows how and when to deploy them to maximize donor engagement and revenue. You won’t be hands-on keys day-to-day, but you will be the strategic brain: analyzing results, crafting briefs, making robust cross-channel recommendations, and guiding execution in partnership with channel specialists. You’ll work with organizations of all sizes and levels of program maturity, helping them build, scale, and optimize high-performing digital fundraising programs. The ideal candidate thrives on balancing multiple projects, can pivot quickly as client needs evolve, and communicates strategy with clarity and confidence. Experience and Capabilities: • Lead digital strategy development: Create integrated, multi-channel fundraising plans tailored to each client’s goals, donor base, and program maturity. • Write and present strategy briefs: Provide clear, actionable guidance to channel specialists, ensuring campaigns are rooted in best practices and designed for measurable results. • Analyze and optimize: Review campaign data, identify key insights, and translate findings into concrete recommendations that drive performance improvements. • Advise clients as a trusted partner: Serve as the strategic lead in client meetings, presenting plans and results, and helping client teams make informed decisions. • Guide channel integration: Ensure email, paid media, social, search, SMS, and web work in concert, creating donor journeys that are cohesive and compelling. • Stay ahead of trends: Monitor the digital fundraising landscape, bringing new ideas and innovations that keep our clients’ programs competitive and future-focused. • Collaborate across teams: Work hand-in-hand with creative, data, and production colleagues to ensure seamless execution of digital programs. • Mentor and model excellence: Support fellow team members by sharing knowledge, reviewing work, and modeling high standards of strategic thinking. Specifically: • 7–10+ years of experience in digital fundraising, marketing, or integrated campaign strategy (agency or nonprofit preferred). • Proven ability to design and execute multi-channel digital strategies that drive measurable growth. • Expertise in email, paid media, social, search, SMS, and web with a strong grasp of how they integrate for maximum impact. • Experience writing strategy briefs, analyzing performance, and presenting actionable recommendations to senior-level clients. • Strong project management skills; able to juggle multiple client needs and deadlines while maintaining clarity and quality. • Excellent communicator: able to distill complex data into clear insights and persuade clients with confidence. • A collaborative, adaptable mindset, comfortable pivoting between programs at different stages of growth. • Strong analytical skills and a track record of using data to inform and evolve strategy.
