Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned IT Infrastructure Solutions Architect to serve as our lead technical expert for core infrastructure engagements. You will be responsible for assessing client environments, designing comprehensive technology roadmaps, and leading the implementation of critical systems including servers, storage, networking, and data protection. This role is pivotal in transforming client requirements into stable, high-performance, and secure operational realities. Success is measured by project delivery excellence, client satisfaction, and the creation of resilient infrastructures that support long-term growth. Key Responsibilities • Consultation & Design: Conduct in-depth discovery sessions and assessments to understand client business goals, technical requirements, and constraints. Develop detailed architecture diagrams, bills of materials (BOM), and implementation plans for infrastructure solutions. • Solution Implementation: Lead and execute complex deployments of server hardware, hypervisors (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V), storage solutions (SAN/NAS), and enterprise networking (Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba). Ensure configurations meet best practices for performance and security. • Data Protection Strategy: Architect and implement comprehensive data backup, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity (BC) solutions using industry-leading tools (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault). Conduct DR testing and validation with clients. • Technical Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for infrastructure projects. Provide guidance to junior engineers and Managed Services teams during handoff and escalation. • Client Partnership: Serve as a trusted advisor to client technical leadership. Present design proposals, explain technical concepts in business terms, and provide ongoing strategic guidance for infrastructure lifecycle management. • Documentation: Create and maintain meticulous as-built documentation, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles for all implemented solutions. Required Qualifications & Skills • Experience: Minimum of 7 years in infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a client-facing consulting or architecture role. • Deep Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on mastery of: • Enterprise virtualization platforms (VMware required). • Windows Server and Active Directory architecture. • Enterprise storage concepts and solutions (iSCSI, Fibre Channel). • Networking (switching, routing, VLANs, SD-WAN). • Data backup and recovery methodologies. • Design Mindset: Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications and create future-proof architectural designs. • Certifications (Highly Valued): VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (for hybrid cloud), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or equivalent. • Soft Skills: Excellent presentation, documentation, and client relationship skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
