Job Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in HVAC systems and Commercial Espresso Machine installation, maintenance, and repair. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and optimizing commercial espresso equipment along with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential and commercial clients. Responsibilities Install, inspect, and repair commercial espresso machines (2-group, 3-group, traditional and automatic models) • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pressure-related issues in commercial espresso systems • Perform preventive maintenance, boiler servicing, pump replacement, group head rebuilding, and calibration • Troubleshoot temperature control systems, pressure stats, solenoid valves, heating elements, and PID controllers • Install and service water filtration and water line connections for espresso systems • Ensure proper plumbing and drainage setup for commercial coffee equipment • Maintain and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating units, ventilation systems, and ductwork • Perform load calculations and system performance evaluations • Ensure compliance with safety standards and mechanical codes • Provide technical support to clients and maintain service documentation Required Skills • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering • Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer • Experience with commercial espresso machine systems and HVAC equipment • Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams • Experience working with commercial-grade coffee equipment preferred • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Qualifications • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related field • Proven experience with commercial espresso machine systems (installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting) • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including air conditioning, heating, and ventilation • Familiarity with plumbing, water filtration systems, and boiler operations for espresso machines • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics • Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and diagnostic skills • Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with clients and team members • Safety-conscious and familiar with relevant mechanical and electrical codes Schedule • 8 hour shift • Day shift • Monday to Friday • No nights Experience Level • 2 year or more Language • English (Required) License/Certification • Driver License (Required) Expected Salary • Entry-Level: $70,000 to 90,000per year • Location dependent (NY, NJ, CT) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
