10+ years SAP EHS solution architecture experience, multiple end-to-end SAP EHS implementations, deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA EHS modules, regulatory compliance expertise, and preferably SAP EHS certification.
Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP S/4HANA Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Solution Architect/Senior Consultant to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for leading the architecture and design of SAP S/4HANA EHS solutions, with a focus on incident management, occupational health, industrial hygiene, environment management, and product safety. The SAP S/4HANA EHS Solution Architect will play a critical role in defining solution architectures, designing technical solutions, and guiding the implementation of EHS projects for our clients. Key Responsibilities: • Solution Architecture: • Lead the development of comprehensive solution architectures for SAP S/4HANA EHS implementations, incorporating incident management, occupational health, industrial hygiene, environment management, and product safety functionalities. • Define technical architectures, integration points, and data models to support EHS processes and workflows in SAP S/4HANA. • Collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into technical specifications. • Incident Management: • Architect and design incident management processes and workflows in SAP S/4HANA EHS, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. • Define incident categories, priorities, and escalation procedures, and configure incident reporting and investigation tools. • Provide guidance on incident management best practices, data analytics, and performance metrics. • Occupational Health: • Design and architect occupational health management solutions in SAP S/4HANA EHS, including health surveillance, medical examinations, and health risk assessments. • Define health assessment protocols, medical record requirements, and compliance criteria, ensuring integration with HR and personnel management systems. • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for occupational health management. • Industrial Hygiene: • Architect industrial hygiene management processes in SAP S/4HANA EHS, including exposure monitoring, risk assessments, and control measures. • Design air sampling programs, exposure limits, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements based on regulatory standards and organizational policies. • Provide technical expertise on industrial hygiene data analysis, interpretation, and exposure control strategies. • Environment Management: • Define and architect environmental management solutions in SAP S/4HANA EHS, including emissions tracking, waste management, and environmental compliance reporting. • Develop environmental performance indicators, monitoring requirements, and sustainability goals, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability initiatives. • Implement environmental impact assessments and mitigation measures to minimize the organization's environmental footprint. • Product Safety: • Architect product safety management processes in SAP S/4HANA EHS, including substance tracking, safety data sheet (SDS) management, and regulatory compliance. • Define product safety rules, restrictions, and compliance checks based on regulatory requirements and product specifications. • Ensure accurate and up-to-date product safety data and documentation for regulatory reporting and customer communication. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field. Master's degree preferred. • 10+ years of experience in architecting and implementing SAP EHS solutions, with a focus on risk assessment, incident management, occupational health, industrial hygiene, environment management, waste management and product safety. • A minimum of 3 end-to-end implementation and rollout of SAP EHS Solution • In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA EHS module functionalities, technical architecture, and integration with other SAP modules. • Experience Implementing Product Safety, Dangerous Goods Management, SERC Setup and Upgrades for Regulatory content, Global Label Management, Specification Management, WWI Report Management and WWI Report Distribution • Experience implementing New Product Compliance and Product Marketability in SAP S/4HANA EHS • Experience implementing SAP EHS with SAP Foreign Trade and Legal Control. • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to environmental health and safety to include: Regulatory experience in GHS, OSHA, EPA, REACH, UK REACH, TSCA, TSCA 12(b), CFR, ADR, IATA, and IMDG • Extensive experience in EHS business requirement definition, and blueprint and design of SAP EHS Solution • Knowledge of SAP EHS integration with Taproot for Incident Management and SharePoint for SDS Distribution • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Proven track record of leading EHS solution architecture and design projects, from requirements gathering to solution implementation. • SAP S/4HANA certification in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is highly desirable. • Experience with Hazardous Substance Management, Substance Volume Tracking, Document Management, SARA Reporting Module in SAP EHS, incident management software, occupational health management systems, and industrial hygiene software is a plus.
