JOB SUMMARY: Warehouse Supervisor will oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities including supervising warehouse and truck driving staff, as well as receiving, shipping, picking/sorting, inventory control, and leadership of the Team. You will help to implement productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within the time requirements and in a safe and efficient manner. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education- • High School Diploma Required. • Associates Degree Preferred. Training & Experience- • 2 years of supervisory experience in related field. • 2 years of experience overseeing warehouse operations and inventory control procedures • Previous experience in food production. Performance Measures and Standards- Travel- • Regional Travel –Rarely (0-15%) • Overnight Travel –Rarely (0-15%) Tools & Equipment- • Computer, printer, facsimile, scanner ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Functions, Duties & Responsibilities) • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by working with the Logistics/Warehouse Manager in selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures. • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements. • Meets warehouse financial standards by working with Logistics/Warehouse Manager to provide annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions. • Moves inventory by scheduling materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with related departments. • Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items. • Supervises customer deliveries by working with logistics and production teams. • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; food safety and good manufacturing practices and housekeeping; recommending improvements. • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data. • If required, secures warehouse by turning alarms on; testing systems. • Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. • Accomplishes warehouse and organization mission by completing related results as needed. • Provide site safety leadership, ensure facility compliance with corporate and OSHA safety standards.
