Candidates should have over 4 years of experience in content strategy or digital merchandising, with strong expertise in Amazon content development. Additionally, 2 years of team management experience is required, along with excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Role Overview: As an Associate Director of Content Strategy you will be responsible for the continued leadership, development, and performance of Front Row’s marketplace content practice - overseeing both strategic and creative output across Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and emerging platforms. This person will guide the evolution of Front Row’s content capabilities and processes while directly owning creative strategy and execution for a portfolio of key clients. They will work closely with a team of Content & Design experts to drive content excellence, scale production efficiency, and ensure marketplace creative consistently delivers measurable results for clients. As a leader within the Marketplace Partnership division, this person’s main responsibility lies within content strategy and creative performance, but their impact will extend across SEO, brand strategy, and performance marketing, ensuring full-funnel alignment between creative and commerce outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Team Development Manage and mentor a small team of 1-3 Content Leads, ensuring high-quality creative output and professional growth. Serve as a player-coach, leading by example through hands-on brand ownership and content execution. Set standards for creative excellence and operational efficiency across the Marketplace Content team. Champion innovation – identifying and piloting AI-powered tools for workflow efficiency, image optimization, and metadata enrichment. Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new content team members. Partner with senior leaders across Design, SEO, PPC & Insights to refine team workflows, creative standards, and operational best practices. Creative Strategy & Execution Act as the primary content strategy lead for 7-10 client accounts across key categories (Beauty, Wellness, CPG). Develop content roadmaps aligned with brand objectives, product launches, and seasonal initiatives. Lead the creation and optimization of Amazon PDPs, A+ content, Brand Stores, and Ad Creatives (SBAs, SBVs, DSP). Collaborate with Design, Performance Marketing, and Brand Strategy to ensure content aligns with data insights, SEO, and campaign objectives. Oversee quality control and ensure all content meets both brand standards and marketplace best practices. Translate brand strategy and performance insights into actionable creative concepts that increase discoverability, conversion, and engagement. Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools for content generation, image optimization, and performance reporting. Performance & Process Analyze creative and marketplace data to guide ongoing optimization and storytelling improvements. Partner with SEO and Insights teams to interpret ranking and conversion data to inform creative decisions. Contribute to MBRs and QBRs, providing insights and presenting recommendations tied to creative KPIs. Support the rollout and evolution of content SOPs, playbooks, and creative frameworks. Stay current on marketplace updates (algorithm, content formats, new placements) to guide proactive strategy shifts. 4+ years in content strategy, digital merchandising, or creative marketing for ecommerce, with strong Amazon experience. 2+ years managing or mentoring team members, ideally within an agency, aggregator, or marketplace context. Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution – managing a team while owning key client relationships. Expertise in Amazon content development (A+, Brand Stores, PDPs, etc.) and familiarity with Walmart Marketplace and TikTok Shop. Strong collaboration skills across creative, data, and performance marketing teams. Proven track record improving creative KPIs Advanced understanding of the impact of SEO for marketplaces and how to integrate insights into creative. Experience briefing and collaborating with Art Directors, Designers & Video Editors for content development Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
