Seeking a reliable individual who enjoys working in a team environment to join our team as a Hotel Engineer. The Maintains the physical functionality and safety of the hotel including, but not limited to, guest rooms public areas and employee areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following • Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and repair non functioning machinery and/or equipment. • Perform a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, HVAC work, masonry, etc. • Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs. • Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention. Requirements • Shifts would be 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm daily. • Availability to work Holidays and weekends are a must. • Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. • Strong understanding of the technologies used and required. • React quickly in emergency situations, making sound decisions. • Flexible availability. • Able to lift 50 pounds or more. • Able to operate heavy machinery. • Licenses a plus Qualification Standards Education: Degree a plus. Combination of vocational education, apprenticeship, in-plant training, or on-the-job training required. Experience: Previous hotel engineering experience a plus Notice Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As a part of the hospitality industry a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times. All employees are required to project a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude.
