French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking a Project Engineer for our Highway/Traffic department in Boston, MA. Responsibilities * Prepare and oversee roadway and highway design plans, specifications, and cost estimates * Perform geometric design, grading, drainage coordination, and maintenance of traffic plans * Coordinate with internal disciplines including civil/site, traffic, structural, environmental, and utility teams * Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables * Serve as a technical resource for junior engineers and designers * Attend client meetings and coordinate with public agencies (e.g., DOTs, counties, municipalities) * Ensure compliance with applicable design standards and regulatory requirements * Support proposal preparation and business development efforts as needed   Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field * 6–8 years of progressive highway/roadway design experience * Professional Engineer (PE) license in MA * Experience with state DOT standards and federally funded projects preferred * Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation (OpenRoads experience a plus) * Strong knowledge of AASHTO and applicable state roadway design guidelines * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment   Benefits   We understand that a fulfilling career is about more than just the work you do – it’s about feeling secure in your health, confident in your financial future, and balanced in your personal and professional life.
