Job Overview We are seeking an EXPERIENCED , highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto service management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires excellent leadership abilities, mechanical knowledge, and the capability to manage a team of service technicians effectively. The Automotive Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service department, ensuring high-quality repairs and maintenance while driving sales through upselling and customer engagement. Responsibilities • Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery. • Supervise and train service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures. • Oversee vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, and suspension work. • Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist with complex automotive repairs and diagnostics as needed. • Implement effective upselling strategies to maximize service sales while maintaining customer satisfaction. • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive experience throughout their service visit. • Maintain accurate records of services performed, including auto estimating and service writing documentation. • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies within the service department. • Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall dealership performance and customer satisfaction. Qualifications • Previous experience in an automotive dealership or service management role is preferred. • Strong background in automotive repair with hands-on mechanic experience is essential. • Proficient in automotive diagnostics with a solid understanding of vehicle systems including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, and auto body repair. • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers. • Experience in cash handling and automobile sales is a plus. • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of service management.
