Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven International Freight Sales Manager to lead our global freight sales initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will drive the growth of our international logistics services by developing strategic relationships with clients, negotiating contracts, and expanding our market presence across diverse regions. Your expertise in supply chain management, transportation management systems, and logistics sales will be essential to delivering tailored freight solutions that meet our clients’ complex needs. Responsibilities • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to expand international freight services in target markets. • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including shippers, carriers, and third-party logistics providers (3PL). • Identify new business opportunities through lead generation activities, cold calling, and networking within the supply chain and transportation sectors. • Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and service terms aligned with company policies and client requirements. • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure seamless transportation planning, dispatching, and execution of freight shipments. • Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), CRM software, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) to manage customer data, track shipments, and streamline communication. • Monitor market trends, regulatory changes such as FDA regulations affecting freight handling, and competitive landscape to adapt sales approaches proactively. Requirements • Proven experience in B2B sales within the logistics or transportation industry, specifically in international freight forwarding or NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) operations. • Strong knowledge of supply chain management, transportation management systems (TMS), and logistics sales strategies. • Demonstrated ability in account management, negotiation, and closing complex deals involving freight contracts. • Familiarity with 3PL operations, carrier sales processes, and transportation planning tools. • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer relationship management (CRM) software proficiency. • Ability to analyze data entry reports, dispatching schedules, pricing models, and freight documentation efficiently. • Knowledge of FDA regulations related to international shipping is a plus; a proactive approach to compliance is essential.
