Requires 2-5 years of lean implementation or continuous improvement experience in manufacturing, PMP and Lean certifications preferred, and travel flexibility.
Our client is seeking a mid-career lean leader to join their growing team of consultants based out of Downtown Chicago, IL OR Ann Arbor, MI. This role is the best fit for someone coming out of an LDP program that wants to scale and diversify their manufacturing experience while not limiting themselves to 1 organization/sector. The nature of consulting requires high travel- potential to be deployed to a client site Mon-Fri. When not deployed role will be in-office Tu-Th, and work from home Mon/Fri. This is a developmental role requiring facetime with senior leadership in order to be effectively mentored! What you will do: • Partner with clients at all life stages in their transformation (project mgmt, kaizen execution, etc.) • Conduct plant assessments for organizations seeking to make an acquisition (fixed asset evaluation/physical inventory/etc) • Utilize your knowledge in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations to develop solutions for revenue enhancement and cost reduction • Build trust with stakeholders through open and honest conversations • Leverage influence in the absence of direct authority What you need to be successful: • BS in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline • PMP & Lean Certifications Preferred • 2-5yrs experience in lean implementation/consulting, or CI in manufacturing setting • Go to Gemba mentality • Home base in Chicago or Ann Arbor • Travel flexibility 30-60%, dependent on client needs • US Citizen or Green Card Holder
