Essential Duties & Responsibilities As a Leasing Consultant, you will work closely with your property manager, fellow leasing agents, maintenance technicians, and grounds staff to support the overall success of your community. Your key responsibilities include: Marketing & Leasing Conduct apartment tours for prospective residents Provide accurate information to prospects via phone, email, and in person Accurately quote rental rates and fees Conduct timely and consistent follow-up with all prospects Maintain a strong knowledge of the local market, surrounding community, and competing properties Ensure all required application paperwork is completed and submitted Resident Relations Deliver exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents Collect payments including deposits and rent Prepare, review, and execute leases with accuracy Support an effective and proactive lease renewal program Administrative & Team Support Inspect apartments to ensure move-in readiness Follow all Fortis Property Management policies and procedures Prepare and distribute move-in packages Maintain full compliance with Fair Housing and ADA regulations Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Experience: Prior leasing or sales experience preferred Skills & Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Computer literacy and comfort with property management software Professional demeanor and appearance Strong decision-making ability Proven sales aptitude
