At FORUM/Forthright, we are transforming dispute resolution with innovative ADR and AI solutions. We are seeking a motivated Business Development professional to generate new opportunities for our ADR and dispute resolution services. This is a long-term 1099 independent contractor role focused on strategic sales, hunting, identifying prospects, opening doors, and driving new opportunities. This position will be responsible for prospecting, building relationships, scheduling meetings, and partnering with the management team to close business with executives, associations, and business leaders. While this role begins as a contractor position, there is potential to transition into a full-time employee role once the target vertical is identified and the growth strategy is established. Who We Are: We are a respected provider of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) services, helping businesses and associations resolve conflicts quickly, fairly, and cost-effectively. We’re looking for a driven Business Development Professional to fuel our growth by identifying prospects and verticals, generating qualified leads, and partnering with our management team to close deals. What You Will Do: • Identify and engage prospective clients through outbound outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone, networking). • Build and manage a targeted prospect list across key verticals. • Introduce company services in a professional, consultative manner. • Secure qualified meetings with decision-makers for the leadership team. • Partner with the management team to move opportunities through the pipeline and close deals. • Maintain regular communication and follow-ups with prospects. • Report on activities, pipeline, and results on a regular basis. • Collaborate with leadership to refine messaging and target markets. • Partner with management on strategic marketing and ways to approach markets identified. Who You Are: • A professional with 5 + years of proven success in business development, lead generation, or sales in legal services, professional services, software sales, or B2B preferred. • Has a true hunter mindset with a track record of generating new business. • Confident, direct communicator with executive-level decision makers. • Independent, disciplined, and laser-focused on results. • Fearless about outreach — comfortable making cold calls, sending emails, and reaching out to executives without hesitation. • Thrives in a high-energy, results-driven role where success is measured by opportunities created and deals closed. • Not a “report writer” — this role is about getting results, not generating paperwork. • Comfortable engaging with attorneys and C-suite executives, always presenting yourself professionally and credibly.
