Full Description

Those who serve in the position of Science Teacher stand at the center of College Lift’s flagship program, Saturday Academy. Science Lead Teachers are responsible for delivering the primary instructional content within their area of expertise to a given grade level of College Lift scholars. Minimum Qualifications Required: • Bachelor’s degree • Teacher licensure/certification and/or at least two (2) years of instructional experience in Science at an accredited institution of higher education or professional instructional experience in a K-12 instructional environment. • Ability and commitment to teach 21 Saturdays each academic year. Preferred Qualifications Preferred: N/A Essential Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following along with other duties as needed: • Collaborate with instructional assistant to facilitate small group/individual instruction; this includes all related activities of Saturday Academy. • Facilitate four 55- minute instructional sessions in science every Saturday Academy. • Provide direction to assistant teachers who will be present in each classroom to facilitate in the delivery of instruction • Complete post-instructional data management in collaboration with the Academic Coordinator Physical Demands PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
